Revised Final draft script for the 1972 film. Based on the 1969 novel by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., a unique blend of history, fantasy, and humor. Billy Pilgrim has become unstuck in time, visiting different periods in his own life. At one point he is a soldier during WWII, another period has him working as an optometrist in New York, and a third phase of his life takes place on Tralfamadora, an alien planet. Shot on location in Czech Republic and in Minnesota. Winner of a Golden Scroll from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films. The second Vonnegut adaptation, after Mark Robson's "Happy Birthday, Wanda June" (1971).Red titled wrappers, noted as FINAL DRAFT SCREENPLAY on the front wrapper, production No. 02049, dated December 21, 1970. Title page present, dated December 21, 1970, noted as Final Draft Screenplay, with credits for screenwriter Geller, novelist Vonnegut, and producer Paul Monash. 135 leaves, with last leaf of text numbered 134. Mechanically reproduced no eye-rest green stock, with pink revision pages throughout, dated variously between 12/23/70 and 1/6/71.
