Sinopsis: Sailing the Edge is a generous gathering of poems that reflect Anne MacKay's lifelong passions and commitments - love of the natural world, her love for women, and her quest to understand how family, myth, culture, science, and sexuality shape our lives.
About the Author: Anne MacKay was born in 1928 and grew up in New York City and in Orient, Long Island. After graduating from Vassar, MacKay taught theater at the Dalton and Horace Mann schools. At present, she is working with the Sophia Smith Collection at Smith College to create a history of the lesbian community on Long Island's North Fork.
