He was twice President of the Manitoba Bar association and twice Chair of the Manitoba Law Society. In this work, the author tells the story of a trip by Icelandic-Canadians to Iceland in 1930 to celebratee the millennium of the founding of Iceland's parliament. A detailed acount to a major dispute within the Icelandic Canadian community as to whether they should accept Canadian government grants to support thier travel to their original homeland.
