Título: The Rival Rangers; or, The Sons of Freedom.
Editorial: Frank Tousey, Publisher, New York
Año de publicación: 1902
The November 26, 1902 edition (No. 234) of "Pluck and Luck: Stories of Adventure." 4to. Pictorial color wrappers. 28pp, (4pp ads). Very good. Rather age toned along gutter; inner text pages mildly and evenly age toned as usual, free of the edge tears and chips that plague most dime novels. Handsome, tight issue of this adventure weekly. Chromolithograph front wrapper graphic depicts a firing squad of bluecoat-clad Continental soldiers in a wooded setting about to fire upon a blindfolded bluecoat seated on a rock as their commanding officer holds up his sword in readiness. Captioned: "'Ready! Present! Fire!' Six weapons were leveled, six thin streams of fire shot forth, and with but a single shriek of mortal agony the traitor fell back dead." A far better than average dime novel (actually, "Price 5 Cents") or "penny dreadful," with text printed in two columns. N° de ref. de la librería 39801
