Descripción:

Hard cover book, 9 3/4 x 8 inches, 124 pp; no dust cover. Owners' bookplate on interior of front cover. Very good. The dedication refers, affectionately, to "a great flock of sheep who work, gamble and invest; foxes who speculate professionally; owls who counsel on investments; lions who dominate corporations; bees who run banks, woodpeckers who fly and spy and hunt and peck out the news," and on and on in this vein. The comic dedication is followed by brief Preface in which the authors observe: "This work, though deliberately succinct, is our magnum opus. It is an abstract of the speculative and investment principles and practices that we have come to regard with deep respect during a score of years' observation of and experience in Wall Street matters." In ten chapters (plus verse) the authors put forth their experience-based knowledge: ("Stops, News and Scalping," "Cutbottoms, Gaps and Shakeouts," etc.) An engaging volume in very good condition humorously illustrated with black and white line drawings.
