Since photography was in its infant stages, most of these soldiers are faceless to us today. But there were many who took portraits of themselves during the war. And some of those portraits are still around. The goal of this book is to put a face behind the Rapides names who served during this historic time of Central Louisiana and the nation. Period and post war photos were located of over 50 young men from Rapides which make the basis of this book. The book includes a little biography and service record of each man.
