Sinopsis:

Remember Who You Are - The Ancestors and Descendants of A. D. Huff and Minnie Overturf Huff. This is a genealogical work. Gabriel Huff, farmer, husband and father, joined the U. S. Infantry in the War of 1812 and reached Grenadier Island in the St. Lawrence River. Richard Haines and family left Aynhoe of ye Hill, North Hamptonshire, England in 1682 to join their oldest son in Jersey. Richard died enroute shortly before his son was born. This arduous ocean journey initiated a strong family legacy. The Oberdorfs started a new life in Pennsylvania upon leaving Germany and began the Overturf saga to Ohio, Iowa and beyond. The Debolts left strife in France and Germany to face the French supported Indians and captivity in Pennsylvania. Ralph Hunt gained respect under England's grasp in 1652 on Long Island. His descendants chafed under England's rule, migrated to North Carolina and initiated the westward trek before 1810. These are a few of the stories woven into our family fabric.
