Sinopsis:

Book by Jelen Ted G

Críticas:

"This book makes for interesting reading. With the recent prominence of the New Christian Right in American presidential politcis and the struggle over issues like abortion, it is topical in the best sense. Many of the 15 articles by political scientists collected here are well written and informative. Like most collections, though, it suffers from inconsistency. All of the articles are based on emphirical data (primarily survey data, but some interview material as well) and a full spectrum of relevant subjects are assesed (e, g., from methodological concerns through aspects of voting behavior, to politics in the evangelical press). The articles are divided into three parts: Methodological Issues, Religious and Politics among the Mass Public, and Elite Perspectives. ...All sociologists of religion could benefit from familiarity with some of these analyses, and the text offers a very useful resource for students interested in the religious right and politics."-Sociological Analysis ?This book makes for interesting reading.
