Descripción

8vo. Red cloth with gilt lettering. xii, 301pp. Very good. Ownership signature on front flyleaf. A tight and attractive early printing of this oft-reprinted 1934 classic. Interesting copy, as it bears the large ownership signature of "Dr. Edward D. Spalding / Detroit" (1893-1953), a noted heart specialist who was shot dead on November 30, 1953 outside his office by a former mental patient who mistook him for someone else.
