"TO THE EARNEST NONCONFORMISTS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM. This is the first number of a periodical, intended not for permanent existence, but to be the organ of a movement as yet without form or fixed determination - a movement which is at present little more than the utterance of discontent, the expression of the deep and painful conviction, that the Christian Church has grievously departed from the simplicity and purity of apostolic times - yet a movement which, being in search of the truth, may become the germ of most important changes." All sixteen issues, bound in brown cloth, of the non-conformist, campaigning periodical originating from Norwich between October 1852 and August 1854, the issue of which date states unequivocally "This will be the last number of Quo Warranto?". Boards are worn and stained but the interior is well bound and clean. A very scarce volume. N° de ref. de la librería 023713
