About the Author: Don Trivette grew up on a farm in Union Grove, North Carolina. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a BS in Agricultural Economics in May 1972. He worked as Director of Adult Education at Bladen Technical College in Dublin, North Carolina, for 5 years.
In 1982 he became a stock and commodity broker with Interstate Johnson Lane in Statesville, North Carolina. He was a broker with Interstate until moving to Chicago in June 1993. For the past eight years, he has traded futures and options for his personal account on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
He has given many speeches and seminars on trading futures and options. He teaches private courses on advanced option strategies. His experience in the futures business includes hedging for the family farm, retail brokering, speculating and trading on the floor of the CME.
Although his passion is trading futures and options in Chicago, he still owns a home in North Carolina and considers himself to live on the family farm.
