Sinopsis: BBC NEWSNIGHT recently described Dr. Vic Barker as "the World's Great Leading Expert on Posture." Dr.Barker advises that you GIVE SOMEONE YOU LOVE, including yourself, A BETTER LIFE. Answers to Back Problems, Osteoarthritis, Blood Circulation, Osteoporosis, Childbirth, Appearance, Postural Obesity, Sexual Problems, Failing Eyesight, Old Age, Sport, Fitness, Cartilage Health Why are so many answers in one book? Because the damge of Bad Posture on almost every branch of medicine has never before been studied, in spite of the fact that Posture is about our framework (skeleton) to which everything is either attachd or inserted. Also because this book destroys the myth that a LIVING thing can WEAR, when only a man-made machine is capable of wearing out. WEAR does not, and cannot occur in living things. In all there are 24 New Concepts in Posture Makes Perfect, for it deals with the one animal, man, that Charles Darwin did not study. Otherwise he might have realised that the fashion which began early in the 17th century of adding heels to footwear, including his own, put evolution into reverse. Heels cause SELF-POLLUTION, and are COUNTER-EVOLUTIONARY. Professor Richard Dawkins has made the same "Counter-Evolutionary"mistake of wearing heels on his footwear. In the Appendix,Electrical Man, the need to recharge the brain is declared, and the probable way this is achieved is detailed, together with the probability that electrical force is used in the division of a cell into two. It is accepted that restriction of blood supply to the brain or heart causes damage. It is claimed that this damaged is due to the reduction of oxygen. But is it due to oxygen lack or electron lack, or both?

Reseña del editor: I am proud to publish the third edition of this amazing book, containing, as it does, more than 20 new concepts on life, health and our evolution. Most astounding of all is the proof that something living does NOT suffer from Wear. Only a man-made machine does that. The properties of a man-made machine and those of a living machine are diametrically opposite. Try wearing out your biceps! When the medical profession accepts this concept, it will need to change its whole approach to the diseases of modern living, and realise we suffer from SELF-POLLUTION.
Other New Concepts are: Osteoarthritis is a Muscle Imbalance disease, not a joint disease. Osteoarthritis can usually be prevented, and treated successfully without drugs or surgery, except in its later stages. Osteoporosis is a Muscle Imbalance disease. Osteoporosis is reversible. Back problems are usually Muscle Imbalance problems. Your back IS a crane - the best ever designed, which industry should imitate. Four legged posture is more stressful to the back than two-legged Any heel added to footwear, even a wedge heel, distorts all weight-bearing joints. Heels on shoes are doubly injurious to circulation. Raised heels make people shorter. It is possible to stand and walk in shoes that have no heels added to them. Gravity plays no part in the delivery of a baby. The problems of delivery are of posture, and those of breaking a vacuum. Joints need normal jarring, not "low impact". Heels are harmful to eyesight. Bad posture will produce a belly even in a thin person. (Postural Obesity). After the age of 23, heels on footwear spoil a woman's figure and reduce its attractiveness. Evolution has developed a rotation in a man's thighbone, in order to prevent his testicles being squeezed, when he evolved to the upright posture. A woman has a gap at the top of the thighs, which I have called the "Female Triangle". On sitting or squatting female knees go straight forwards. A man's go out sideways. This difference emphasizes the importance of hereditary in homosexuality.
The unit, which causes the contraction of a muscle, is a double solenoid, which works like an electric bell. (Unpublished paper 1969). Its contraction squeezes blood out of the minute blood vessels (capillaries) towards the heart. The bumping of the red blood cells against the walls of the capillaries attaches negative electric ions to the surface of these red cells. Eventually, after passing through the heart, these red blood cells pass along the capillaries of the brain. Here, I believe these electrical charges on the surface of the red blood cells are transmitted, by cells called Astrocytes, to the nerve cells in the brain(neurons) to recharge them. This RECHARGING OF THE BRAIN enables it to repeatedly signal the heart to contract in order to circulate blood; and for muscles to contract again, and so again to produce electrical energy. The energy required for the muscle contraction unit to work comes from our food. If this electrical concept of man is true, there are many practical applications.
In his electro-magnetic hypothesis of how a cell divides in two, he suggests the type of force used to divide the cell. Cancer being the abnormal division of cells, the ramifications for cancer research are obvious. It is also obvious that power lines, transmitters and mobile phones require careful consideration He also explains how fluid might circulate into and out of the muscle unit.
The author maintains that it is Academic Arrogance to neglect, or try to usurp "The Principles of Evolution."
Give this book to someone you love, not only to lengthen life, but also to make it more enjoyable.
