Pictorial covers, bumped to edges, the colours somewhat faded and rubbed, with a white cloth spine, creased. Binding holding together but the cloth starting to separate from the board. Inside front board hsa an ownership stamp. A collection of short stories, separately paginated, followed by several sequences of poems. An introductory note from the unnamed publishers reads: "Mr Henry Pettitt known as . . . The Picture Man has been touring the small villages between York and Land's End with a portable cinematograph show for the last twenty years. In his spare time he has written these stories and poems for his picture audiences who liked them so much that we are offering them to a wider public who, we hope, will be equally pleased by them". very scarce; indeed there would seem to be no other library holdings or sale copies of this item.
