Complete suite of twelve 11½" X 10½ color prints housed in a folio (13¼" X 11¼") pictorial folder. Fine/very good. Faintest bit of wear to folder (only). First separate printing of these dozen scenes from Lincoln's life, originally created for the 1962 New York World's Fair and now on display at the Gettysburg Museum. The meat-packing behemoth John Morrell & Co. then published them as one of their famed annual calendars, and issued this suite of prints separately. The inside front panel of the folder bears a chronologically-ordered list and description of each of the prints. The prints themselves are perfect and pristine, and are titled "There I Grew Up," "A Hired Hand Merely," "New Salem Years," "I Had Studied Law," "Resolve to Be Honest," "If I Should Never Be Elected," "Here I Have Lived," "Was Married to Mary," "What Do You Know of the Enemy?," "Have Cause Yet to Rejoice," "We Here Highly Resolve" and "A Just, and a Lasting Peace." The rear panel of this folder bears a brief essay about Lincoln by Ralph G. Newman (1911-98), founder of Chicago's noted Abraham Lincoln Book Shop, bearing his printed signature at the conclusion -- though this copy bears a nice autograph addition, for a bold full signature of Newman has been tipped alongside the printed signature. Barnett (1923-2008) was a well-known Santa Fe artist noted for his Native American and Civil War battle paintings; his work graced the covers of "Life," "National Geographic," "Saturday Evening Post" and other magazines. Original mailing envelope (never addressed) also present. N° de ref. de la librería 37381
