Book condition: fair, very scarce 1851 publication of Dickens' classic, feature eight plates by H. K. Browne, both black cloth boards detached, edges scuffed, corners worn and rounded, some finish worn off, spine features four raised bands and gilt lettering and trim, scuffing to head and tail, pastedowns stained, large chip off bottom right of ffep which has a signature in pencil and crease down left side, signatures in pen and ink on front endpaper, some spotting to title, preface and dedication page, much more to contents pages, foxing throughout with darker stains to a few pages, pages 103-106 taped, 327 pages, 6 X 9.25 inches.
