Descripción

The Gladstone Series. RARE PIRATED EDITION IN A LOVELY STATE OF PRESERVATION! N.d. (ca. 1880). Brown decorative cloth. 854 pp. Cheap pulp paper tanned, original owner's signature to f.f.e.p.; few tears to paper - unlike most of these cheapie knock-offs, this is a very nicely preserved copy. Another US publisher's spurious piracy, exemplifying the sort of inscrupulous charlatanism that Dickens was railing against within these very pages - a bitter irony of the sort that Peggotty himself would surely recognize! In 28 years of bookselling we have not previously seen this edition of Nickleby. Size: 12mo. N° de ref. de la librería 000982
