5 1/4 inches x 6 5/8 in., title-page in red & black with Logan Press device; preface; illustrated with woodcut type designs printed in red & black, of the figures mentioned in the ABC, figures include: Attila, Lizzie Borden, General Custer, Dracula, Eve, Dr. Frankenstein, Goliath, Jesse James, King Kong, Lucifer, Medusa, Nero, Oedipus, Pandora, Quasimodo, Rasputin, Miles Standish, Tojo, Ulysses, Elizabeth Van Valkenburgh, Venus of Willendorf, Xanthippe, Brigham Young, Zeus. Textured brown paper with titling on the spine and front panel, over violet cloth-covered boards, bound in at the front inner cover hinges. The front cover panel shows light dusting. Colophon: "Parting Shots originated in the Children's Picture Book couse of the third OSU Summer Writing Series From Concept to Production 1983. The abacadarius presented here represents a collaboration between the students who met in an intensive workshop setting under the guidance of Dr. Kenneth Marantz, Chairman of the Art Education Department, and apprentices at The Logan Elm Press and Paper Mill, the Arts-of-the-Book Laboratory of The Ohio State University College of the Arts, Department of Art Education. Two hundred copies of this volume were printed on Mohawk Letterpress paper off Centaur types and were bound in covers over board using a technique designed by Heide Kyle.".
