Roth (1906–1962) whose work has appeared in Time, Life, Look, Fortune, Paris Match, Elle, Der Stern, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Oggi, People, and other publications. His photographs of James Dean still appear regularly in books, magazines, print and other works all over the world. Among the private collectors who have owned his work were Pablo Picasso, Peter Ustinov, Jean Cocteau, Colette, and Igor Stravinsky. 310x230mm. 20 text pages & 112 full page b&w photographic plates. Softcover with illustrated dust-jacket. Jacket torn into two parts, worn, tattered and partly missing. Jacket flaps detached. Cover and pages slightly yellowing. Spine yellowing, slightly stained and wrinkledBottom edge of page 97/98 (photographs of Georges Braque and Jean Lurcat) slightly torn (45mm) with very slight damage only to Leger's photograph.
