This story of forty years of flying ranges from the Canadian prairies to New York in wartime; to the jungles of Ceylon and Sumatra; from Honolulu to the New Guinea highlands; and to the trials and triumphs of an aircraft salesman. The book covers the author's flying training on Tigers, Ansons and Mitchells in World War II, and long range B24 Liberators at war in South East Asia. After the war, Laurie returned to Australia where he flew for British Commonwealth Pacific Airlines before working as a bush pilot with QANTAS in New Guinea, then as a sales pilot for de Havilland Australia, ending his career with Hawker Pacific.
