From 1934 through 1939, shw was a student at the School of The Boston Museum of Fine Arts where she studied with Alexander Jacovleff and Karl Zerbe. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts purchased a painting for their permanent collection from the exhibition of the works done in Mexico making Miss Hibel the youngest living artist to have a painting in a major American museum."
