Color pictorial / pictographic map, pictorial decorative border, 16 3/4 x 22 inches (42.5 x 56 cm) on sheet 17 1/4 x 22 1/2 inches, folding as issued, with original red black and white illustrated mailing envelope 6 x 9 inches. Name in ink on envelope; very good condition. A tongue-in-cheek, fun map reflecting the Texas ego: a more massive than usual Texas occupies the centre and south of the United States, with the other states squeezed to the northeast and northwest. Colorful pictographs highlight the best of everything in Texas: "prickliest pears," "most cantakerous coyotes" etc. The pictorial border depicts vignettes of Texas life and history, from The Alamo to the skyscrapers of the modern city. The pictorial envelope proclaims: "If you don't think Texas is BIG - Take a look inside this envelope!". N° de ref. de la librería
