Sinopsis: A chronicle of the artist's travels to cities around the world. The Nostalgic Heart combines encounters with the people David Coggins met -- from artists and journalists to poets and opera singers -- with ruminations about place and restlessness and the changing nature of cities. Containing over 90 photographs and drawings, the book is a celebration of urban life. Coggins went to Lima, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Berlin, Prague, Cairo, and Istanbul among other cities. He contends that the beauty and humanity of "the old square" continue to offer a model for living in the digital age.

Biografía del autor: David Coggins is an artist, writer, and set designer. His work has been been seen widely in the U.S. as well as in Europe and South America. He is the author of The Nostalgic Heart (recipient of an Independent Publisher Book Award) and Eden Summer Collages. He lives in Minneapolis.
