VERY RARE paperback book of sheet music for Pianoforte & Voice. "Nightbirds - A Musical Comedy in Three Acts" Composed by Johann Strauss. Libretto by Gladys Unger. Lyrics by Arthur Anderson. Undated but believed to be published circa 1909-1920, by Cranz & Co. / Metzler & Co. (1909) Limited, London. 4to, 27.9 cm x 21.9 cm x 1.2 cm, Printed card cover. Undated, but believed to be circa 1909-1920. 168 pages. Weight: 612 Grams. CONTENTS ARE MOSTLY LIKE NEW!!! However, the spine & back cover are missing. Front cover is loose & age tanned but mostly clean bar small mark at top, and ink publisher's stamp, prices crossed out in ink (these ink markings & trhe stamp are also on title page), 3 creases, edges frayed with some small loss of paper there, tear on left hand side. Corners of pages are curled & creased, some have folds. Crack between p. 32 & 33, some other faint cracks forming. Last 5 pages have slight damage & loss of paper from tail up alongside spine area. Some pages (very few) have creasing in corner at spine tail. Light age tanning & rare foxing throughout. EXTREMELY RARE SHEET MUSIC, FRAGILE BUT BEAUTIFUL INSIDE!!!
