No signatures. Moderate foxing. Some small tears and chips to blank margins of title leaf. ; Text in Te Reo Maori. A collection of Waiata or songs. This title has an unusual publishing history. Pages 1-56 were printed in Cape Town in 1857, and constituted "a collection of the final proofs as far as the work had progressed" (Williams, p. 64). In 1949 copies of these pages were found in the Auckland Public Library, and were issued by the Polynesian Society, together with a newly printed page 57 from a proof copy of that page. This is an unbound copy, consisting of the 7 signatures of 4 leaves each (the first unsigned, then B-G, these pages all printed in 1857 in Cape Town), followed by the later printing of page 57, (2 leaves, page 57 with signature "H", the second leaf blank). [Bibliographical references: Bagnall G860 - "The work, therefore, although printed in 1857 was not published until 1950"; Williams page 264.]; 4to. N° de ref. de la librería 16171
