Acerca de

Sinopsis:

Kathy endangers her budding friendship with the new girl next door by ignoring her in favor of the In Crowd at school.

From School Library Journal:

Grade 4-6-- These series entries are extremely different in writing style and quality. The first offering centers around a common theme--a girl wants to be in the ``in'' crowd--but Schanback places her characters in unrealistic situations. Annie's parents allow her to give strangers a tour of their up-for-sale house while they are at work. Another mother allows her seven-year-old son to play video games on a different floor of a department store while she helps her daughter choose a bra. The dialogue is awkward, and often used strictly to impart information to readers. On the other hand, the Stines also use a common theme--that of bullying--but relay with finesse the story of Elliot, a short fifth grader. Here the situations are credible, the descriptions vivid, the quips clever, and the conclusion satisfying. --Blair Christolon, Prince William Library, Manassas, VA
