Hard Cover. VG/Good. Not Stated, Probable First. 22cm By 14.5cm. The story of the dramatic rescue of 300 British merchant marine captives from ships sunk by the Graf Spee early in WWII when the Royal Navy destroyer Cossack took them from the German prison ship Altmark. The action was memorable because the destroyer entered Norwegian territorial waters to effect the rescue. Also covered the cruise of the Graf Spee and her success against shipping. Book has slight edgewear, pictorial DJ small nicks and tears, with small section missing spine base.
