xv, (1), 342, 18 pages; Previous owner's name on first blank - "Edward S. Corwin" -- also an earlier owner's name "Jos. I. Doran" dated 1885 -- likely Joseph Ingersoll Doran (1844 - 1919) of Philadelphia. Contents clean and tight in original red cloth binding with printed spine label (badly chipped), cloth worn and chipped at spine ends, ffep has 2" closed tear at foredge. OCLC 9840426 Edward Samuel Corwin (1878 – 1963) was president of the American Political Science Association. Corwin joined the faculty of Princeton University in 1905 at the invitation of Woodrow Wilson. In 1908 he was appointed the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence. Over the course of his career, Corwin wrote many books on United States constitutional law. John Innes Clark Hare (1816-1905) was a noted judge and a professor of Constitutional law at University of Pennsylvania.
