Descripción

Two page political broadside printed in double columns. This campaign publication differs from similary titled braodsides, which include "The Supporters of the Doctrine Vote for Buchanan!" in the title. First paragraph states "The people of the Free States have so long yielded to the arrogant demands of the Slave Oligarthy of the South, that the latter has come to think it can carry any measure it seems fit, no matter how degrading it may be to the character of the free white men of the North." Last paragraph concludes "The man who votes for James Buchanan in the coming election, votes for Slavery in Kansas.Awake, working men of the North, before it is too late, and vindicate your rights at the Ballot Box!" About one third of page is affected by minor staining; also minor spotting and one crease through both columns of text. Still, and attractive and intact copy. Measures 6.25 inches wide by 9.25 inches tall. Politics, American History, Campaigns. Size: Octavo (8vo). N° de ref. de la librería 005331
