Descripción New York - Published for the Trade, 1880. Hardcover. Estado de conservación: GOOD ONLY. William Morgan's controversial writings on Freemasonary. William Morgan was an anti-Mason, andupon announcinghis intention to publisha book exposing Freemasonry's secrets, he was arrested on trumped-up charges. He then disappeared soon after. It is widely believed that he waskidnapped and killed byMasons. Morgans's disappearance then sparked funding for the Anti-MasonicParty. This work claims to 'expose and explain' Freemasonry, 'showing the origin, history and nature of Masonry, its effect onthe government and christian religion. ' Condition: In original blue paper wraps. Externally, generally smart with heavy chipping to the extremities of front wrap. Severe loss to the spine and loss of rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound. The marginally somewhat worn wrappers, which are on fragile paper, are faded about the spine and at some of their margins, while the backstrip is chipped and only about one third present; internally very good.
