SIGNED Copy. Black boards with bright gilt titling to the spine. Very clean boards but both top corners are quite bumped. In the original publisher's glossy pictorial dustjacket. The dustjacket is Not price-clipped, the spine is VERY, very lightly faded to the base colour - but negligible and hardly noticable unlike many copies I've had previously. Plain grey endpapers with a 'This book belongs to' (Panda decorated) bookplate on the top front corner of the front free endpaper, with the former owners name written in ink on the bookplate. A longish gift inscription to the former owners on the Title page, and SIGNED and dated (2nd August 1991) by the Author, o/w No Inscriptions or Marks. Very Clean page fore-edges but just one mark on the very bottom edge. 266pp, illustrated in b/w with a couple in colour and a b/w Map frontispiece. " This true-crime, which was largly overshadowed by The Moors Murders, was written by the then DS Pat Molloy involved in the investigation . It follows the painstaking attempts by the Staffordshire police to catch the killer of 3 (or possibly more) children who were kidnapped in or around the Walsall area and taken to nearby Cannock Chase and murdered. The police were up against huge problems. They had no DNA in those days, also, Cannock Chase is such a vast area of woodland to search for missing persons. Very grim in parts, but brilliantly written." Fascinating. Overall an Excellent Very Clean, Tight and Bright, SIGNED copy. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; Signed by Author. N° de ref. de la librería
