344 p. 28 cm. Sound and square binding in brown, cloth-covered boards. Corners lightly bumped. Ding on the bottom front edge with tiny spot of paper loss. Lightly rubbed. Notation on the front pastedown endpaper. Inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. An extensive local history and family record of Miami County Kansas. The front cover reads "Swan River Museum Family Histories and Stories of Miami County Kansas vol. II. The second of two volumes, this book was the result of "many people wanting their family stories in our Miami County History Book" and has "updated some stories from Volume 1. We have more county history, a section on the military, a section of memory recollections and also a collection of pictures of rural school pupils". Also includes sections on local businesses and organizations. The bulk of the book consists of family histories, with many accompanied by a black and white photo of family members. A scarce copy.
