He is best known for having produced Gone with the Wind (1939) and Rebecca (1940), and The Third Man (1949), both the former earning him an Oscar for Best Picture. The legendary producer's memos, letters, and telegrams, have been gathered together in one volume. The behind-the-scenes during the filming of Gone with the Wind alone comprises almost a quarter of the book.
