About the Author:

Mary Catherine Nolan, OP, is a theology teacher at the Dominican Ecclesial Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In addition to her work as spiritual director, retreat preacher, and writer, Mary Catherine is concerned with issues of peace and justice. In 1984, as rural life director for the diocese of New Ulm, she was honored with an award from the Minnesota Catholic

Conference for her work in promoting justice for farmers. In 1994 she received a doctorate in sacred theology from the International Marian Research Institute at the University of Dayton.
