Descripción

1p., 4to. On aged paper, with some damp staining to spine. The letter comes from the Stockdale papers, and relates to his application to the post of Mycologist and Lecturer in Agriculture to the Imperial Department of Agriculture in the West Indies. Having taught Stockdale at Cambridge, Ward is blunt and to the point: 'Dear Stockdale | These are not matters to dally about. If you are fool enough to throw away a chance like this, you will do no good any where.' He urges Stockdale to 'telegraph to Sir W. Thiselton Dyer at once!'. N° de ref. de la librería 17721
