** NEAR FINE BOOK ** (VERY GOOD) DUSTJACKET ** ILLUSTRATED EDITION ** NOT A LIBRARY BOOK ** CLEAN, STAIN-FREE, UNMARKED ** INTERNALLY LIKE NEW ** Published by the University Press of Virginia, 3rd Printing 1975. NOTE: The photos you can access with this listing are of the actual book you will be sent; please examine them closely as they provide the best indication of condition. Very well-made book, bound in heavy-duty cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine. With 368 pages. The book itself has no significant flaws, shows only extremely occasional, very brief and faint signs of use (2 or 3 small faint smudges to the exterior page edges). The cloth binding is surprisingly nice, still appears almost as crisp and fresh as new, shows almost no wear at all, no tears, no fraying. The book is clean and stain-free, square and straight, very firm and tight in its binding, no pages loose, torn, or missing. The hinges are sound and undamaged, the corners are sharp and unbumped. Internally like new, all pages are clean and stain-free, still bright and white, and all text and illustrations are crisp, sharp, and legible. There is no writing, underlining, highlighting, or markings of any such kind in the book. The dustjacket is chipped at the bottom of the spine and there is a faint mark on the front where a price-sticker once was. Otherwise, the jacket is quite clean and stain-free, complete and intact, and shows very little wear.
