10pp., large 4to (42 x 33 cm), on ten leaves of good watermarked paper, with additional leaf carrying the endorsed title, and the word 'Twickenham' in pencil. The eleven leaves held together in one corner by pink ribbon. Neatly written out in a close and attractive hand. A long list of legal documents, dating from between 1604 and 1743, with the first page headed 'Estate Bought of Sir Godfrey Kneller' and 'Schedule of Deeds and Writings of Mr. Timothy Hollis belonging to his Estate at Twickenham Devised to him by Mr Samuel Sandford (vizt)'. Other subheadings relate to Isaac Hollis, 'belonging to his Estate in Alperton'; 'the Estate called Margrets purchased of William Andrews'; 'Mr Leader Cox's Title to 4. Acres and an half of Freehold & Land in the Parish of Ealing in the County of Middlesex purchased by Mr Samuel Sandford & Mary his Wife of Mr. John Spencer and Margaret his Wife'; 'Windill field in the Parish and Manor of Ealing in Middx | Purchased of William Beeche'; 'One Acre & an half of Copyhold Land | Purchased of Thomas Goodwin & Judith his Wife'; 'Land in Windill field & 2 Acres in Popefield | Purchased of Mrs. Jane Gressingham'; 'Land in Windmill Field in the Parish of Ealing | Purchased of Joseph Parker'; other land in Windmill Field purchased of John Drinkwater and James Jennings and Ann his wife, and others; 'A Schedule of Mr. Mathew Cox's Deeds & Writings belonging to his Title to One Acre & An half of Freehold Land in the Parish of Chesham in the County of Bucks called Clippings Acre | Purchased of Mr. William Child'. Signed note at end: 'Memorandum London Decr. Tenth 1746 Wee [sic] the Underwritten Timothy Hollis & Leader Cox Acting Executors of the Will of our Late Uncle Samuel Sandford Decd: Having met to look over the Deeds Mentioned in this Schedule | I Timothy Hollis acknowledge to have Received the Deeds mentioned to belong to me as also those Deeds mentioned to belong to My Brother Isaac Hollis | Timothy Hollis'. With similar declaration signed 'Leader Cox'. Note: Timothy and Isaac Hollis were apparently cousins of Thomas Hollis, benefactor of Harvard, Timothy himself apparently donated also.
