Illustrated with 16 photogravure plates. Large 4to, xii + 408pp. Hardcover, bound in original light brown cloth with decorative gilt stamoed titles to spine and cover. Gilt top edge. Printed in thick heavy paper with wide margins and untrimmed edges. In very good minus condition overall. An additional engraved plate from a different work (a portrait of Princess Henrietta of London) is loosely inserted, causing tanning to fly-leaves. Discreet repairs to hingepapers; binding remains intact and firm. Remnant of armorial bookplate to front endpaper, otherwise pages are clean. The plates show light foxing to margins. Light tanning to endpapers. Some mild wear and rubbing to extremities. Still a nice, solid, copy overall. N° de ref. de la librería 008376
