The stories include the tragic story of a new wax doll (no doll shown) and the sad end of a beloved chicken plus other episodes in the life of a mischievous little girl. Head and tail of spine and corners slightly worn, a couple of tiny chips to cloth at head of spine, 20 mm (¾") pale stain at fore-edge of upper board, lower board slightly soiled, front inner hinge partly cracked, endpapers very slightly foxed.
