A long poem written in the Shetland Islands immediately after the death of James Joyce [1941] but not published until 1955. A trade edition was published in 1956. With black and white and green decorations by John Duncan Fergusson. An ex-library copy with furniture to front end papers and stamp to verso of tp., plus a dewey number and small fray at the base of the spine, else a very good copy bound in publisher's original green cloth stamped in gold. 4to. Small bookplate, and neat pencil signature, of noted collector and New Yorker artist, Claude Smith, on front pastedown. Bottom edge and tips of spine are lightly faded, else a near fine copy in very good dust jacket; jacket has light wear and light fading on spine and extremities, few small edge tears, with light rubbing on front panel, else quite bright.
