2 vols. xxiii+285pp., 285pp. Translated by Carlo de Fornaro. Edited by Keene Wallis. Privately printed for subscribers only by Lieber & Lewis. Ex libris Henry W. Shoemaker, with his bookplate (in each volume, his signature across the tops). Laid in is a 1924 letter from the translator, Fornaro, to Shoemaker, in which he relates a meeting at the studios of Burkhard with F.J. Gregg and John Quinn (Quinn was a patron of the arts, who helped support the 1913 Armory Show, which Gregg promoted). The aim of this meeting was to lay the foundation for an American Casanova Society, to discover unpublished documents which the Society could publish here; correspondence with the London Casanova Society is indicated. An interesting association copy. Black cloth. T.e.g. Front hinges internally cracked, corners lightly bumped, some rubbing to extremities, a few streaks to the back cover of the second volume. Spines dulled. Good. N° de ref. de la librería 7641
