Title continues: United States Senator from Maine 1854-1864; Secretary of the Treasury 1864-1865; United States Senator from Maine 1865-1869. Fessenden was the Secretary of the Treasury for a brief time under Lincoln. Ownership marks to endpapers (from the library of Francis Greene, Maine historian), some intermittent foxing, else near fine with minimal wear. An uncommonly well-preserved set.
