In half cloth and marbled paper over boards; illustration on cover not related to this book; some corners of pages clipped with no loss of text; minor flecks smudging internally but not obscuring text; overall G+. Subject: Fiction/Skáldsögur; Scandinavian/Norwegian Literature/Norskar bókmenntir; Barnabækur; Translated from Norwegian/Þýðingar úr norsku. Add.Entry: Bjarni Þórarinsson 1855-1940 (translator). TRANSLATOR'S BIO: Transltor Bjarni Þórarinsson 1855-1940, resided in Canada for 16 years. He served as the Lutheran minister of the Tabernacle (Icelandic) Lutheran Church in Winnipeg from 1900-1903 (see Kristjanson, p. 242). He immigrated to Canada in 1900 and served as pastor of the Tjalbúð Congregation in Winnipeg, then as pastor of the Herðubreið Congregation at Big Point near Lake Manitoba.
