Descripción:

64pp. This issue created a scandal. Anderson had heard a lecture by the anarchist Emma Goldman and consequently produced an article in this issue 'The Challenge of Emma Goldman', praising Goldman and denouncing the ownership of private property. The article lost her the support of her backer, Dewitt C. Wing, and she had to resort to subscription campaigns and part time reviewing to pay her printing costs. Others however supported her, including Frank Lloyd Wright who gave her money and the poet Eunice Strong Tietjens who contributed a diamond ring. Volume I, No. 3, May 1914. One inch piece missing from top of spine and a small chip from the bottom; small faded library stamp at bottom of front wrap, else this is a near fine copy. Royal 8vo. N° de ref. de la librería
