Occasional light foxing, usually peripheral in location, through the text material. 193-176pp. The first English edition of this work was published in three volumes in the same year, 1841. Frederick Marryat (1792-1848) was a naval Captain and was noted for his sea-faring adventure novels written for adults. He wrote several children's books late in his career.
