Hardcover, bound in the original publisher's black full cloth, large gilt illustration to cover, gilt lettering to cover and spine, foot of spine very slightly bumped. In fine condition. ~ First edition. Dedication Copy, Signed: "For Louise, with love & thanks for your important contributions to The Great Work, blessing as ever, Terence DuQ, 1/93". The comprehensive annotated bibliography lists works in several languages which deal with Anubis, Egyptian funerary practices, Greco-Egyptian mysticism and magic, and the dog/wolf motif in comparative mythology and folklore. The charming frontispiece "The Summoning of Anubis" is by Louise Tammuz, apparently to whom the book is dedicated. Made especially for this book, the illustration is repeated, fully in gilt, on the cover. N° de ref. de la librería 7786
