In 1911, Mansfield Ferry (Yale 1903) bought Mory's Temple Bar, the favorite watering hole for many generations of Yale men and home to the famed Whiffenpoofs most Monday evenings. Some of the better known past members of Mory's include John Kerry, Bill Clinton, George H. W. Bush, Gerald Ford, John R. Bolton, George Pataki, Joe Lieberman, the late John Heinz, the late Paul Mellon and the late William F. Buckley, Jr. Frederic Harrison (1831 1923) was a British jurist and historian who was influenced by the the ideas of the Christian Socialists, as well as Rusin and Carlyle. A follower of the positive philosophy, he led the Positivists who split off from Richard Congreve and founded Newton Hall.
