This U.S. Air Force general, once ranked the number two bombardier in the world, flew wing position with Claire Chennault's "Flying Trapeze" military acrobatic team; his distinguished World War Two career included being one of the four authors of the U.S.'s air power policy followed throughout the war; named by Truman commander designate of the Military Air Transport Service in 1948. IPS, 8" X 10", n.p., n.y. [ca. late 1950s]. Fine. Striking head-and-shoulders black-and-white portrait of a debonnaire mustacheiod Kuter in uniform, nicely inscribed and signed in black fountain pen over his chest and shoulder at lower left: "To Gerald L.
