Paperback; English language; Signed by author with dedication; good condition; 'To Jenny, With loads of love from Jenny Pitman, Aintree 4th April 2009' with additional comment underneath 'Women on top again' which refers to the fact that the 100-1 winner in the Grand National that day (Mon Mome, ridden by Liam Treadwell) was trained by Venetia Williams, who thus joined Jenny Pitman as the only other woman at that time to have trained a Grand National winner (Pitman's training victory was in 1995). Acerca de

Sinopsis:

As Jan Hardy recovers from the wounds of the past, the stage is set for a fine year, with a wedding on the horizon, the return of distant loved ones, and the appearance of a mysterious Cherokee Indian sponsor, Jerry Raven. All is looking promising, until a suspicious death throws Jan’s world into turmoil. Is the sickness afflicting Raven’s horses natural, or is there some more sinister explanation? Soon, Jan finds both her personal life and her professional reputation in tatters.

About the Author:

Jenny Pitman is well known as the first woman of racing. She has achieved success in the world's toughest races and has landed two Grand Nationals. In 1984 she became the first woman to train a Cheltenham Gold Cup winner, and has also trained the winners of the Scottish, Welsh and Irish Grand Nationals. This is her fifth novel.
