Acerca de

Sinopsis:

After receiving an airplane from his grandmother as a gift, Huxley Pig plans to use the craft to deliver his thanks in person, but Horace, the troublesome rodent, is determined to sabotage Huxley's maiden flight

From School Library Journal:

PreSchool-Grade 2 --A suitcase full of old family clothing sent by his granny sets Huxley Pig on some imaginary (or are they?) adventures in these insipid offerings. In the first , Huxley dons a sailor suit and is soon bounding on the high seas. When the boat crashes on some rocks, he finds himself back in his own room, but a telltale gull's feather leaves him wondering if he's been dreaming or awake. The same conceit is used in Huxley Pig the Clown, in which he falls from the trapeze under the big top and finds a circus program beneath his bed. Huxley Pig's Airplane crashes as he tries to fly it through a storm. Again he finds himself at home, intact, but puzzling over whether or not his escapade was real. These bland texts and flat, pedestrian watercolors will do nothing to spark, much less extend, children's imaginations or sense of play. Disappointing efforts. --Luann Toth, School Library Journal
