Descripción

Self Published, 2011. Softcover (15 x 21 cm), 220 pages, with b&w photographs. ISBN: 9780646557472. As New. "After 30 years of running guided hunting safaris, Gary Cory has put his experiences and thoughts onto paper for others to read and enjoy. His book 'Hunter for Hire' is very informative and entertaining to read. It provides insight into Gary's easygoing nature and the way he successfully conducts guided hunting safaris in Central Queensland, which provide an experience that keeps people coming back for more. Gary shares his experiences from the moment he decided to set up a safari hunting business and the variety of personalities who helped him and those he met along the way. He has included many stories about different safaris, the international and local clients he has guided and some of the hunters who struck it lucky with his top-10 best boars taken. Other topics that provide valuable information not just to hunters, but those who may be thinking of setting up their own hunting safari enterprises, are those discussing his camp set-up, preferred rifle, scope and cartridge choices, hunting vehicles used along the way and the reality of dealing with the good, the bad and the ugly client. It is evident throughout the book that Gary undertakes genuine hunting (not just shooting) safaris. His 'fair chase safaris' slogan on his business card is demonstrated in all the hunting accounts throughout his book. All hunting is taken on foot and the success of the hunt is based on his experience and skill which allow him to find game sign, track animals and know where to be and the right time to be there". *Please Note* The shipping cost for this book for domestic (Australian) customers will be less [A$8.75 via Regular Parcel Post] than the default quoted amount if the parcel weighs less than 500g after packaging. The postage reduction will be taken when sale is processed/finalized. Weight (before packaging): 305g. N° de ref. de la librería 2925

Book(s) will be packaged and shipped within two business days from confirmation of receipt of payment. All shipping costs are in addition to the price of the book, paid by the buyer. *Please note: The shipping cost quoted on AbeBooks.com may vary from the actual shipping cost depending on final parcel size & weight, buyer location and shipping mode selected. Shipping costs are for the final weight of the parcel (book size/weight plus packaging materials).
For Australian (Domestic) Customers: Domestic orders are shipped via Australia Parcel Post. Shipping costs are based on package size/weight, destination and speed (standard or priority). The shipping charges quoted at time of sale are for standard shipping for a parcel weighing less than 3kg and less than 40 x 31 cm in size. Heavier and/or larger sized parcels may require additional postage charges. You will be notified via email if additional charges are warranted at which point you can elect to accept or reject the extra charges requested. However, parcels weighing less than 500g may be subjected to lower postage costs (reduction will occur when order is processed).
For Overseas (International) Customers: I encourage you to contact me via email using the 'Ask the Bookseller a Question' link to obtain an accurate postage quote prior to making your purchase as Australia Post shipping costs vary considerably depending on buyer's location, parcel weight and speed. Overseas orders are normally dispatched via Australia Post Standard International (which offers online tracking). The amount quoted for shipping is based on Australia Post rates for a parcel weighing between 500g-1kg (approximately 1.1-2.2 lbs) and ultimate destination. The cost increases considerably for every 500g (1.1lb) increment increase in weight. Express options are not recommended as the are very expensive and are normally not much faster than one of the other modes outlined above. Extra shipping costs may be requested for parcels exceeding 1kg. Conversely, lighter parcels may be subjected to lower postage costs based on actual size/weight and ultimate destination. Any shipping cost increase/decrease will occur when the order is processed. You will have the option to 'accept' or 'reject' any increase requested before the transaction can be finalized.
